Fue Hair Transplant

Feel More Confident With A

Healthier and Thicker Head Of Hair

FUE hair transplants are the most popular method of hair restoration. Minimally invasive, hairs from the side of the head and the neck are transplanted to the balding area, resulting in a naturally looking hair with permanent results.

Follicular unit extraction (FUE) hair transplants are done by taking individual hair follicles out of your skin and implanting them elsewhere on your body. This will make the hair in the new area look thicker.

Our surgeons. are very experienced with all aspects of hair transplants, meaning the results of an FUE Hair Transplant can be excellent, with the growth in most cases reaching very high levels.

It’s important to understand that the hair growth will be gradual over several months. However, every month the growth and thickness of the hair will increase, with optimum results normally seen between 12 to 18 months.

Once the procedure is complete, the transplanted hair is permanent and will behave like your normal hair.

During the initial consultation, your consultant will listen to your hair expectations and discuss what you wish to achieve. Following an assessment of your medical records and hair, your consultant will put this information forward to the surgeon to determine whether you’re a good candidate to work with.

After a treatment plan has been agreed by both the surgeon and consultant, and only once you are happy to proceed, you will be asked to read, understand and sign a consent form before the surgery can begin

Firstly, individual hair follicles of between 1 and 4 hairs are removed from the sides of the head and the back of the neck using a micro extraction instrument, which is less than 1mm in diameter.

The surgeon will then create tiny holes in the balding area of the scalp, with the hairs placed into these holes at the correct angle and blended in to mimic the appearance of your original hair.

Aftercare is an important stage of the regrowth process. Protecting the grafts is essential, so we’ll talk you through how to wash the hair, your diet and other factors to ensure wounds heal quickly

After a few weeks, the transplanted hair will shed, but will grow back as strong and healthy hair, which behaves exactly how your original hair did.

To be considered for a hair transplant, you need two things: Enough healthy hair on your scalp that can be transplanted to the area that needs hair. The ability to grow hair on the thinning area of your scalp.

Most people are able to return to work about 3 days after having a hair transplant. You need to be very careful with your transplanted hair for the first 2 weeks after your operation as the grafts will not be secure.

Optimum results will be between 12-18 months but results will still be noticed each month.
