Dermal Fillers

Dermal Filler injections contain hyaluronic acid – a substance that naturally exists in the body. At BEAUT Aesthetics we only use the latest generation of Dermal Fillers, including Juvederm® ,Restylane® and Teosyal ®, all world leaders in aesthetic products. These Dermal Fillers are non-permanent and contain lidocaine, a local anaesthetic to reduce discomfort associated with injections, to allow our patients a more pleasant treatment experience.

By boosting the skins supply of hyaluronic acid, Dermal Fillers revitalise and add volume to the skin, instantly diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and giving a natural and softer yet defined look. Dermal Fillers are a soft injectable gel consisting of stabilised, non-animal hyaluronic acid. The gel is tissue-friendly and closely resembles the hyaluronic acid that exists naturally in the body. It is long-lasting but not permanent.

Dermal Filler injections provide a non-surgical option to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, add volume in sunken areas, smooth the skin and give a more youthful appearance. The result of a single treatment can be seen instantly and can last for up to 18 months. Dermal Filler injections can give a natural looking result that does not affect facial expression. As your face changes over time, Dermal Fillers allow you to subtly control your appearance within the passage of time.

During the initial consultation at BEAUT Aesthetics, your practitioner will listen to your treatment expectations and discuss what you wish to achieve. Following an assessment of your treatment needs, your practitioner will recommend which Dermal Filler treatment is most suitable for you. No two cases are the same, and you will receive a personal treatment plan based upon your concerns and objectives, facial anatomy and medical history.

After a treatment plan has been agreed, and only once you are happy to proceed, you will be asked to read, understand and sign a consent form before the treatment can begin

Dermal Filler is injected into the skin in small amounts using a very fine needle or cannula. The gel provides natural volume to smooth away the appearance of lines and wrinkles, enhance facial shape, or create fullness depending on the way it is used. Dermal Filler products improve the elasticity and texture of skin, restoring and maintaining the skins hydro balance.

The treatment is quick, typically taking about 30-60 minutes. Treatment with Dermal Fillers does not affect facial expression and the benefits can normally be seen immediately.

After a treatment some reactions are relatively common, these include; slight redness, swelling, itching, bruising and tenderness. The reactions are generally mild to moderate and usually disappear shortly after injection. They typically resolve spontaneously within one or two days, but for some treatments they may last longer. In the majority of cases, our patients are able to return to work or their usual daily activities immediately.

Dermal Fillers should not be used in or near areas where there is active skin inflammation or infection. Pregnant or breast-feeding women should not use Dermal Fillers. Individuals with medical conditions that lower the body’s immune response or individuals undergoing therapy that is immunosuppressive may be more prone to infection by a skin injection procedure.

During your pre-treatment consultation, you should thoroughly discuss your medical history with your practitioner to ensure Dermal Fillers are an appropriate treatment for you.

Dermal Fillers used at BEAUT Aesthetics contain lidocaine, a local anaesthetic providing a more comfortable experience and as such extra pain relief is not necessary. Some people may experience the treatment as a mild discomfort but it is a well-tolerated procedure. A local anaesthetic cream will also be applied to the area for additional numbing effect.

We believe less is more, and our practitioners will work with you to achieve desired and subtle results injections.

The effects of non-permanent fillers will usually last between 3-18 months. This does depend on how your body reacts to and breaks down the dermal filler, the area treated, the volume of product used as well as certain environmental factors.
